Mission: Building Powerful Teams

Vision: To be the most impactful talent acquisition and talent development partner for advancement teams in higher education, healthcare and nonprofits, as measured by longevity of tenure and bottom-line results of our placements and our clients’ advancement teams.

Values:

  • Integrity: We do the right thing because it’s the right thing to do.
  • Honesty: We tell the truth, always.
  • Proactive Communication: Everyone is informed every step of the way.
  • Respect: We value people and it shows.
  • Diligence: We are committed to success.
  • Moxie: We are courageous. (We run with scissors.)

Our Commitment to Diversity and Inclusion: BRYANT GROUP is committed to an ongoing, proactive process to foster and achieve diversity and inclusion in our executive search and talent development work. We respect and encourage different voices, perspectives and ideas as we strive to recruit and promote candidates of all backgrounds and cultures, which include but are not limited to the following: nationality, ethnicity, race, gender, sexuality, spirituality, age and physical ability.

Identifying candidates from underrepresented groups has been an integral part of our recruitment process since our founder began this work in 1988. To that end, our targeted list of potential candidates is intentionally diverse. Throughout our history, this focus has resulted in underrepresented professionals being placed in positions at all levels, including at the Vice President and CEO levels.

We bring candidate pools that are as high as 100% diverse candidates to our clients. Over the past year, more than one-third of our placements have been from diverse groups. Our commitment to our clients’ best interest and our respect of every candidate as a professional and as a human being continues to result in the best outcome for all involved.

We live these values in the following ways during a search project:

We are communicative and transparent. We meet weekly or bi-weekly by phone with your search liaison to discuss the trajectory of the search and address challenges and opportunities.

We are proactive. Ninety percent of our placements are currently successfully serving organizations in positions for which they would not have applied without our proactive and personal contact.

We work to understand your institution and your culture. We represent your organization to candidates the way you would represent yourself.

We are thorough. Our guaranteed process includes a minimum of three internal BRYANT GROUP interviews prior to recommending candidates to you. We have been told by candidates it is the most thorough vetting process they have ever experienced when working with a search firm.

We are timely. We know you need your position filled quickly with the best person for the job. We have honed a 13-week process from the day we visit your campus to the day you make the offer to your candidate of choice.

Our executives have been professionals on advancement teams in higher education, healthcare and other nonprofit organizations. We speak the advancement language and understand nuances that are important to your search.

It is important to us to respect each person in the process. We are proud to have received numerous positive testimonials from candidates who did not ultimately get the position for which we were recruiting.

We want you to enjoy the process as much as we do. What if you could work with a firm that makes the search process efficient, enjoyable… and even fun?

We live these values in the following ways during a talent development project:

We are communicative and transparent. We start your talent development project—whether a workshop or developing a full-scale sustainable program for you—by understanding your organization, values, culture and goals.

We work specifically for you. We tailor each program or project to your specific needs and goals.

We treat information in confidence. We learn a lot about your team while working on a talent development project. That information is kept in the strictest confidence, just as it would be during a search.

We respect your team. We are here to help you build a powerful team, which means you are afforded the same off-limits guarantee we give our search clients.

And again, our executives have been professionals on advancement teams in higher education, healthcare and other nonprofit organizations. We speak the advancement language and understand nuances, structures, and complexities that are important to your project.
